0.9.12 · Build 25
- Lower GPU and WindowServer load while the lid is held still: identical frames are no longer re-drawn 60 times a second. The effect looks exactly the same.
- License activation now works against the new license service. The About pane lists [email protected].

0.9.11 · Build 24
- A redesigned Settings window with a sidebar: General, Work Shelf, Permissions, License and a new About pane.
- The License pane shows your trial at a glance, key activation and the one-time $6.99 purchase.
- Preview and Test on Desktop moved into General. Website links open Korean pages when the app language is Korean.

0.9.10 · Build 23
- The license service moved to macparallax.pages.dev, alongside this website. Update to 0.9.10 or later before activating a purchase; 0.9.9 and older cannot activate one.
- No other changes. Updating from 0.9.9 keeps your Screen Recording permission.

0.9.9 · Build 22
- Developer ID signed and notarized by Apple: opens without manual approval.
- Work Shelf: a short note that unfolds as you open the lid past your working angle, a welcome-back card after a break and an optional focus timer that can pause during breaks.
- Three independent hinge angles for the animation, breaks and the note, set in 1° steps.
- Faster rendering of a held fold; the sensor samples quickly only while the lid moves.
- License state is kept in a private file and survives updates. A proxy or firewall error never revokes a purchase.
- A focus timer you started keeps running when the effect is turned off. Clamshell mode is no longer reported as a graphics error.
Updating from 0.8.0: replace the app in Applications and allow Screen Recording once more. The 0.8.0 trial state may not carry over. Download and checksum on GitHub.
0.8.0 · Build 12 · September 13, 2026

0.8.0 was ad-hoc signed and not notarized. It is replaced by 0.9.9.

Purchases
A license is a one-time purchase of $6.99 through Lemon Squeezy, for up to 3 of your Macs. Activate it in Settings → License (0.9.10 or later). When the trial ends without a license, the effect is disabled. Buy a license.
Test scope
Current automated and rendering checks are conducted on a single M2 Pro MacBook Pro. They do not establish universal compatibility or a 99% success rate. See the compatibility page.
